The above photo will make a small subset of the human population (Unix fanatics) go bananas. It’s the collection of gake Unix/Linux license plates owned by Amherst’s Jon “maddog” Hall, dating back to the one that says “Trademark Of Bell Labs.”

Hall has the only *real* UNIX license plate in New Hampshire, on his Jeep. I present this photo as a tease: I won’t present the entire story about his license plate until Sunday’s Telegraph. Before then, you have to console yourself wondering what the heck that ULTRIX plate is doing there … in blue?!?!
