Digital gaming is $2 billion Mass. industry
Filed under General by david brooks at 12:17 pm
The digital-game industry in Massachusetts had revenues over $2 billion and 1,200 employees last year, claims a study from the Mass Technology Leadership Council, as reported here by Xconomy. This includes software developers, artists, game design, and voice actors good at screaming “argh!” in Orcish.* There’s a reason that a number of schools have added some variation of a “digital gaming” undergraduate degree.
